Starting from lvl 50, every character will gain 1 Ability Point every two levels. Ability Points can be used to learn abilities. A Total of 21 points can be reached at level 90.

All abilities can be learnt up to 5 levels where each level have the ranks: Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, Master and Grand Master. For now only the first 3 levels are open to be learned, the last 2, Master and Grand Master levels will be introduced at a later stage in the game.



These type of abilities are the most common abilities and are not directly linked to crafting or combat. All common abilities use only 1 Ability Point for each level you learn.

Trained Rider
This ability increases your movement speed when riding a mount.
Apprentice
Increase mount movement speed by 20
Journeyman
Increase mount movement speed by 40
Expert
Increase mount movement speed by 60
Backpacker
This ability helps you carry items around longer increasing the timer on your temporary inventories.
Apprentice
Timer increases by 80s
Journeyman
Timer increases by 120s
Expert
Timer increases by 160s
Master Thief
As a master thief you are trained to make the most out of your looting. With this ability the amount of gold you get from a monster will increase.

Iron Stomach
Not only is your Stomach made out of Iron, but it produces a higher effect out of the food you eat.

Regeneration
With true troll blood flowing in your veins your system recovers quicker than most people.

This ability makes you more proficient with any items, reducing the requirement that is needed to use it. Works on all items that can be equiped.

With this ability you will be the master at scouting enemy locations. You can stay in stealth mode longer then normal.

With this ability all buffs casted by you will last longer.

Combat abilities are made to make your life on the battlefield more interesting. They are all passive and interact with different type of skills and game mechanics. All Combat Abilities cost the level of the skill in Ability Points (example: level 1 cost 1, level 2 cost 2 extra, level 3 cost 3 extra, for a total of 6 Ability Points.)

Bards Melody
You have received training in the art of entertaining and motivation by the finest Bards in the world of Ruins of War. With this ability the effect of your aura skills will increase.

Crippling Strike
You are mastering the art of attacking from the shadows. With this ability your normal stealth attacks have a chance to cripple and slow your enemy. Can be used with attacks like Backstab, Aimed Shot, Blast and Wounds Blast.

Titans Strength
You are blessed by the Titans and as a gift you are given their strength. This ability increase the natural damage you get from your main attributes.

Gives a 4% bonus physical damage from your main attributes

Gives a 8% bonus physical damage from your main attributes
Expert
Gives a 12% bonus physical damage from your main attributes
Sticky Magic
Your magic is so powerful that it’s hard for your enemies to resist it. This ability increase the success rate of your spells, lowering the resistance chance of your enemies.

Swiftness
Your swift like the wind. Running faster than most people. And if someone knows how to dodge an attack its you.

Celerity
You react and recover quicker than everyone else. This ability reduces the reload time of your skills, lowering their cool down.

Healing Hands
You have the knowledge on how to channel protection magic to aid your healing spells. When you heal one or more targets with a charge of 2.0 or higher they will get a protection buff lasting for up to 6 seconds increasing both their defence and magic resistance.

Armor Breaker
Heavy armor does not work against you. Using your CON weapon you hit the enemies so hard their armor breaks even more. This ability increase the Armor Breaking effect from skills like Hard Hit, Taunt and Counter Attack.

Magic Strike
By channelling your magic power to your regular weapon you can apply parts of your magic power as physical damage.

Ice Breaker
Increase your resistance to Ice effects and also reduce the duration of ice effects casted on you.

Poison Breaker
